Digiweave Asset Licence 1.0

Copyright 2026 Digiweave. All rights reserved except those granted below. Licence version: 1.0

The licence version supplied with the assets at the time of purchase governs that purchase. Digiweave may publish updated licence terms for future purchases, but later versions do not retroactively reduce rights already granted under an earlier version unless you expressly agree to the change.

Who is licensed

"Assets" means the digital assets supplied in a Digiweave product that expressly references this licence, including modified or derivative versions where they incorporate those assets. This licence applies only to the assets covered by that product, not to unrelated third-party materials.

"You" means the individual purchaser, or the organisation on whose behalf an authorised purchaser obtains the pack. Buying on behalf of an organisation licenses that organisation, not the purchaser separately for unrelated work. A personal purchase does not automatically license a separate company. Contact Digiweave through the seller page where you purchased the assets to arrange a transfer to a company or another owner before that separate owner uses the assets.

Usage

Buying these assets gives you a non-exclusive licence to use them in any number of personal, commercial or noncommercial projects.

You may sell and distribute projects incorporating the assets, including prototypes, demos, game-jam entries, alpha and beta builds, Early Access releases, completed games, updates and DLC. References to permitted projects below include these stages of development.

Attribution is optional but welcomed.

Digiweave retains ownership of the original assets. Digiweave does not claim ownership of independently created contributions you add to them. Any rights you hold in your contributions do not give you permission to redistribute Digiweave's underlying artwork outside this licence.

Team access

Your employees and contractors may access the assets privately solely to work on your permitted projects. They receive no independent licence and may not retain or use the assets for personal projects, other clients or unrelated work without their own licence. They must remove their project copies when their authorised work ends, except copies retained solely to meet a legal obligation and not available for further use.

You are responsible for ensuring anyone you give access to follows these terms. Project-team access does not transfer ownership of the assets.

Ai definitions

"AI coding assistance" means using an AI system to interpret text or metadata, write integration code, or carry out the technical operations permitted below.

"AI visual analysis" means supplying image content to an AI or machine-learning model so it can interpret or analyse the artwork. Reading filenames, metadata or image dimensions, and copying a file without analysing its visual content, are not AI visual analysis.

"AI artwork generation or modification" means using an AI or machine-learning model to generate, reconstruct, repaint, recolour, restyle or enhance artwork, including model-based inpainting, image upscaling and reference-based generation. It also includes directing a coding agent to design or implement such artwork changes through scripts, even if no image-generation model is used.

A program having AI features does not prohibit use of its ordinary tools. The restrictions apply to the activity performed, not the program's branding.

Modifications and technical processing

You may modify the artwork using non-AI methods for permitted projects. You may not use AI artwork generation or modification on the assets. These restrictions apply to original and modified copies alike.

The following conventional technical operations are permitted, including when automated or performed through code written by a coding agent:

  • Copying, importing, converting file formats and slicing sprite sheets.
  • Packing texture atlases and adding transparent padding.
  • Trimming transparent borders while preserving placement offsets.
  • Colour-space conversion and straight/premultiplied alpha conversion.
  • Texture compression, mipmap generation and palette conversion.
  • Conventional image resizing, including nearest-neighbour resizing.
  • Configuring placement, display scale, animation and rendering settings.

These operations may change pixel values as necessary for storage or rendering. They must serve technical integration of the existing artwork, rather than redesigning its appearance or creating replacement artwork. They do not permit model-based image synthesis, reconstruction or enhancement. For example, ordinary texture resizing is permitted; AI super-resolution is not.

Redistribution

You may not sell, share, sublicense or redistribute the original or modified assets as standalone artwork or reusable resources, whether free or paid.

"Standalone artwork or reusable resources" means copies offered for use as artwork in other projects, such as sprite sheets, asset packs, libraries, templates, modding SDKs or downloadable example/source projects containing the reusable assets. Do not place the asset files in public repositories.

Permitted projects may include the runtime asset files needed for them to work, using ordinary game packaging. Encryption or a guarantee that the files cannot be extracted is not required. The possibility of extraction alone does not make distribution of a permitted project a breach of this licence.

You may publish your project's source code separately while excluding the assets from public source distributions. A playable build may contain the runtime assets under the permission above.

Mods, Workshop packages and in-game editors may use the assets solely within your licensed project. They must not provide a facility or resource package for exporting or reusing the artwork in unrelated projects. People who obtain such a project or mod receive no independent asset-use rights.

Do not disguise an asset library as a nominal game or project to distribute the artwork for reuse. Ordinary gameplay screenshots and recordings may be shared to demonstrate or promote permitted projects, subject to the AI restrictions below when submitting them to AI services.

Ai coding assistance and inspection

Coding agents may read the supplied text and JSON, write integration code, handle asset files without visual analysis, and perform the technical operations listed above. Use the metadata for asset discovery and placement. Human inspection of the artwork is permitted.

AI visual analysis of normal gameplay screenshots, recordings and editor views is permitted for implementing, testing and debugging a licensed project, subject to the training conditions below. This includes incidental appearance of the assets and ordinary asset previews during integration.

Do not submit standalone raw artwork files, including sprite PNGs, sheets, textures or model previews for AI visual analysis, or systematically browse the artwork folder with AI for that purpose. Do not deliberately display raw artwork files in an editor, or extract artwork from gameplay captures, to bypass that restriction.

Permission to inspect gameplay or editor views does not permit asking an AI to redesign, reproduce or generate replacement artwork from what it sees.

Ai training and reproduction

Do not use the artwork for training or fine-tuning image-generation models, contribute it to datasets for that purpose, or authorise another party to do so. This also covers artwork appearing in gameplay or editor captures.

Before submitting a permitted capture to an AI service, check the terms and settings applicable to your account and enable any necessary training opt-out. You may reasonably rely on the provider's applicable published policies or contractual commitments stating that those submissions will not be used for image-generation training or fine-tuning. If no such commitment applies, do not submit the capture. Do not opt in or otherwise authorise that use.

You are not required to audit the provider's internal systems. A provider's undisclosed breach of a commitment you reasonably relied on is not, by itself, a breach of this licence by you. If you learn that the commitment no longer applies, stop further image submissions until appropriate protections apply.

Do not use the artwork as AI reference input to reproduce, extract or generate substitute standalone artwork or asset packs. Normal licensed copying and importing remain permitted.

Scope

The supplied metadata and integration instructions may be used and adapted to implement the assets in permitted projects. A collection purchase grants these same rights for every included asset covered by this licence.

This licence grants no rights to Digiweave branding or exclusive use of the assets. It does not limit any rights or exceptions that applicable law does not allow this licence to exclude.

For licence questions or requests outside these permissions, contact Digiweave through the product or seller page where you purchased the assets.
